Terms of Service

1. The service

OrderScribe displays each restaurant's menu and transmits your order to that restaurant. Menus, prices, photos, availability, opening hours, delivery zones, and fees are set by the restaurant, and the restaurant prepares and fulfils your order.

2. Orders and payment

• Placing an order is an offer to buy from the restaurant; it is accepted when the restaurant confirms it.
• Prices are shown in the restaurant's currency at the moment you order. The total you see at checkout (items, options, delivery fee, and any discount) is recomputed and verified server-side before the order is placed.
• Payment is cash on delivery or on pickup, unless the restaurant states otherwise.
• Promo codes are subject to their own conditions (validity window, usage limits, minimums) and may be withdrawn by the restaurant.

3. Delivery and pickup

Delivery availability and fees depend on the restaurant's delivery zones. Please provide an accurate address and phone number — the restaurant relies on them to reach you. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.

4. Cancellations and problems with an order

Cancellations, refunds, and complaints about food or delivery are handled by the restaurant that took your order. Contact the restaurant first; if you can't reach it, contact us and we will help route the issue.

5. Your phone number and verification

We verify your phone number with a one-time code over WhatsApp when you order. Keep your number accurate and don't place orders using someone else's number — orders placed with your verified number are treated as yours.

6. Acceptable use

• No fake, fraudulent, or abusive orders.
• No interfering with, scraping, or attempting to break the platform.
• No using the service in a way that violates applicable law.

7. Content and intellectual property

The platform (software, design, branding) belongs to OrderScribe. Menu content — names, photos, descriptions, prices — belongs to the restaurants that provide it.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided as-is. Food quality, ingredients, allergen information, and order fulfilment are the responsibility of the restaurant. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OrderScribe is not liable for indirect damages arising from an order, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the order concerned.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page with its date at the top. Using the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon.
